Trinity Metro Safari Xpress

Explore the Fort Worth Zoo

This Spring Break, walk on the wild side and visit the Fort Worth Zoo. Safari Xpress is an express bus service that travels every 30 minutes between Fort Worth Central Station and the Fort Worth Zoo March 7 – 15. The Fort Worth Zoo is often recognized as one of the Top 5 zoos in the nation. Tree shaded, winding paths lead visitors to incredible exhibits like the Word of Primates, Stingray Cove, African Savanna and Texas Wild!

For your convenience, the Safari Xpress leaves at :15 and :45 after the hour from Fort Worth Central Station and the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Returning to downtown is simple: Board where you got off. Return trips from the zoo operate every 30 minutes.

Bass Performance Hall

Experience the largest exhibit of live, exotic butterflies in north-central Texas at the recently restored Fort Worth Botanic Garden. To get to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, take bus route 7 to University and Botanic Gardens.



Take the family to Bass Performance Hall for an out-of-this-world presentation of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. This show features classical favorites and popular hits from space movies. To get to Bass Performance Hall, ride The Dash of Molly the Trolley to Commerce and 3rd.

Sid Richardson Museum

Love fishing? Don’t miss TRWD Flyfest. This festival will be a family-friendly day of fishing, expert presentations, casting classes, food trucks, wine tastings, craft beer and live music. To get to the Clear Fort of the Trinity River, ride bus route 32 to Bryant Irving and River Park.



Children ages 6 – 12 will create a unique piece of art inspired by Sid Richardson Museum’s exhibition In a Different Light: Winslow Homer and Frederic Remington. Children will learn new art skills and techniques while working with watercolor and other materials. To get to the Sid Richardson Museum, ride The Dash or Molly the Trolley to the Worthington Hotel.

Funky Finds is a free family and pet-friendly market. The market features over 200 of the funkiest area makers and pickers selling the best in handmade, repurposed, upcycled and vintage finds. To get to the Will Rogers Memorial Center, ride The Dash to Gendy and Lansford.

Visit SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium for a fun interactive show where guests have the opportunity to learn all about reptiles and exotic animals. To get to SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium, ride TEXRail to Grapevine Main Street Station and connect with the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle to Grapevine Mills Mall.



Visit the Palace Theatre for fun, family-friendly movies. Tickets are $4 per person. To get to the Palace Theater, ride TEXRail to Grapevine Main Street Station. The Palace Theater is a short walk away.
