Bus Service to the Fort Worth Zoo

The Safari Xpress is a Seasonal Service offered daily during Spring Break and on Saturdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day to the Fort Worth Zoo. It leaves on the hour and every thirty minutes from the Trinity Metro’s Downtown ITC/Fort Worth station at 1001 Jones St., downtown Fort Worth.

Board the bus to the zoo at “Bus Bay A” at the Downtown ITC/Fort Worth station.

To return to the Downtown ITC/Fort Worth station, simply board the bus in the same area you exited at the zoo. Return trips from the zoo board every 30 minutes. See scheduled times below.

Trinity Metro TEXRail and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) passengers may ride the Safari Xpress round-trip from the Downtown ITC/Fort Worth Station at no extra charge with a Local or Regional Multi-Ride Pass.

One way fare on the Safari Xpress is $2 for adults, and $1 for youth (ages 5-19), seniors 65+, persons with disabilities with ID and Medicare card holders.

No fare required for children 4 and under with an adult. Fares may be loaded on the GoPass app, or purchased at the Trinity Metro Customer Service Kiosk inside the Downtown ITC/Fort Worth Station from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or when boarding the Safari Xpress. Bus operators do not make change.
