Public Invitation to Neighborhood Open House to Discuss New Station Locations

Neighborhood Open Houses to Discuss New Station Locations

* New station sites to be identified for Medical District, North Side

FORT WORTH, (May 29, 2012) – The public is invited to attend open houses in June to discuss new proposed passenger rail station sites at two Fort Worth locations, said officials with the Trinity Metro.

“Input from the public is an important part of the discussions about changes in station sites in the Medical District area and in the area located east of the Fort Worth Stockyards,” said Trinity Metro’s President Dick Ruddell. “We’re having a neighborhood open house in each area to bring area residents, businesses, major employers and institutions together to discuss the status of the TEX Rail project, and proposed new station locations being considered.”
The two stations will be part of the 37-mile TEX Rail passenger line that will travel from southwest Fort Worth, through downtown Fort Worth, on to Grapevine and into the north end of DFW Airport.

Open houses will offer attendees the opportunity to come and go. Exhibits will be set up and staff available to discuss the station locating process and the proposed new station sites, as well as answer questions. Open houses will take place as follows:
