Choose transit on Car Free Day!

To celebrate World Car Free Day on Monday, Sept. 22, Trinity Metro is offering free rides all day on all its services in Tarrant County. We invite you to leave the car at home and see how easy it is to get around without driving.

World Car Free Day, celebrated annually on Sept. 22, is a global movement encouraging people to leave their cars at home for a day and explore alternative ways of getting around. This day highlights the benefits of reducing car dependency – such as improving air quality, decreasing traffic congestion, and promoting healthier lifestyles. By participating, you’re helping to make Fort Worth and Tarrant County cleaner and greener while enjoying the chance to discover the community from a new perspective.

Taking the pledge to go car free for a day may be easier than you think. You can use Trinity Metro buses, which offer convenient routes across the city, including connections to downtown, Near Southside, the Cultural District, The Fort Worth Stockyards and popular shopping areas. You could even try out Trinity Metro Bikes at lunchtime. Reduce the number of vehicles on the road on Monday and see how good it feels to take part.

Want to let us know you’re participating? Take the pledge online and then remember to tag us on social media or use #LetsRideTM.
