In 2023, Trinity Metro began a comprehensive assessment of its value to Fort Worth and its other service-area communities throughout Tarrant County. Now, the agency is proud to share The Trinity Metro Effect: a thorough report detailing the agency’s vast quantitative and qualitative benefits, compiled as a result of the agency’s months long Transit Value Proposition analysis.

The Big Picture

Economic Engine

For every $1 invested in Trinity Metro, $3.05 in economic returns is generated in Tarrant County.

Rising Use

Trinity Metro ridership is increasing. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, ridership was nearly 6.8 million – an almost 1 million increase over FY 2022, and the highest since at least FY 2020.

Widespread Access

Trinity Metro services all major service-area hospitals and colleges and universities, as well as 97% of service-area zero-car households.

Environmental Stewardship

Trinity Metro benefits the environment in multiple ways, including by reducing annual service-area vehicle miles traveled by over 16 million.
