Bikes on Buses and Trains

Did you know Trinity Metro is bike-friendly? All of our trains and buses are equipped with bike racks. Bike passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their bikes. Looking for help on how to bring your bike on board? Here’s a video that shows you step-by-step how to load your bike on any of our bike racks.

Traveling with your bike between Downtown Fort Worth and DFW International Airport? As you board the Trinity Metro TEXRail train you will find bike racks to the side of the doors. Simply hook the front wheel of your bike to the top rack and fit the back wheel to the bottom rack. There will be a bike symbol outside the doors of the cars that have bike racks.

If you are making your way to Dallas on the Trinity Railway Express (TRE), the bike racks will be located across from the entrance doors. To load your bike into the bike rack, simply push your bike into the bike lock. Once you have arrived at your destination, press the release lever to disengage the bike lock.

All Trinity Metro buses are equipped with bike racks as well. To load your bike, squeeze the rack lever, lower the rack, set your bike on the rack, secure your bike in place with the front wheel lock. When you remove your bike, make sure to return the bike rack into the upright position.

That’s it! You are ready to hit the trails and ride the roads.
