Fort Worth Central Station Transportation Services
Fort Worth Central Station
Fort Worth Central Station opened in January 2002 immediately following the extension of the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) service to downtown Fort Worth, with a vision to provide a convenient, centralized hub for multiple forms of public transportation, with spacious waiting rooms and customer counters.
Passengers may make one stop for connections to local or long distance bus and train travel, rental bicycles, rental cars and cabs. They can also travel to DFW Airport via free shuttles from Trinity Metro’s TRE CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. Fort Worth Central Station also serves as a station on the 27-mile Trinity Metro TEXRail commuter rail line to DFW Airport’s Terminal B Station.
Fort Worth Central Station is also home to the Historic Wall commemorating the important and vibrant African-American commercial and historic warehouse district that existed at the site of the Fort Worth Central Station between 1865 and 1940.
