Trinity Metro is offering a new perk for customers: free Wi-Fi on all buses. Riders can easily join the TrinityMetroPublicWi-Fi network by using TrinityMetro as the password.
“Our customers have asked for Wi-Fi to help them stay connected on the move,” said Wayne Gensler, chief operations officer for Trinity Metro. “We listened to their feedback, and we’re happy to provide this service enhancement so everyone has better connectivity, whether it’s for keeping up with work emails, social media or texting.”
Decals are posted behind the bus operator for easy access. That way, riders can join the network after clearing the farebox area.
Free Wi-Fi is the latest in a series of service enhancements, including new seats on all buses and upgraded bus shelters.
Trinity Metro is also working on installing Wi-Fi on all TEXRail trains as an added convenience for riders.
