In 2023, Trinity Metro is offering reduced ticket pricing for veterans to show appreciation for their service. Beginning Jan. 1, veterans will receive a reduced fare on local tickets by showing proof of veteran status.
Local tickets are for all Trinity Metro buses, ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare services, TEXRail, and the west zone of Trinity Railway Express (to CentrePort).
In addition to veterans, other riders eligible for reduced local tickets are seniors 65 and older, persons with disabilities, Medicare card holders, and youth ages 5-19. Children who are 4 and younger do not need a ticket.
