
TRINITY METRO STUDENT ART CONTEST
Trinity Metro is hosting a student art contest for Fort Worth Independent School District to tie in with the upcoming FIFA World Cup events that begin in June. Artwork should reflect soccer themes and include imagery of Trinity Metro’s public transportation services, such as TEXRail, TRE, Bus, Bikes, and On-Demand.
Up to 3 images will be selected from FWISD (one each from elementary, middle and high school levels).
The winning artworks will be displayed in Downtown Fort Worth panels. This is the inaugural year for what will become an annual art contest.
Submissions
• Dimensions for the display cases are: 31.5″ wide x 43.5″ tall.
• Contestants may submit artwork by email to TrinityMetroArt@gmail.com or by mailing or dropping art at 801 Grove Street, Fort Worth 76102.
• Choice of art medium is determined by each contestant. Options include painting, illustration, collage or computer-generated graphics.
• Judging will be based on the quality of work, appropriateness for public display, and attaining a level of being inspirational, entertaining, and enduring content.
• Because of copyright issues, artwork cannot include the words FIFA or World Cup.
• Entries are due by Friday, March 27.
Winners will:
• Have a photo session with their installed artwork. Trinity Metro photographer will share digital files with winners.
• Be featured on the Trinity Metro website
• Be featured in a press release
• Be featured on Trinity Metro’s social media channels
Note: If the winner does not want any publicity, the student can choose to opt out. Trinity Metro would still provide photos of the student with the installed art if that is requested.
