When severe weather impacts North Texas, the Trinity Metro team prepares early and continually monitors road and track conditions throughout weather events in order to adjust service as needed to keep our customers and team members safe.

Trinity Metro Service Advisory – Status of Operations

There are currently no weather-related service modifications.  

  • TEXRail: normal service schedule
  • Trinity Railway Express (TRE): normal service schedule
  • Trinity Metro Bus: normal service schedule
  • TRE Link: normal service schedule
  • On-Demand paratransit: normal service schedule
  • On-Demand rideshare: normal service schedule
  • CentrePort Circulator: normal service schedule
  • Customer Service: normal service hours (5 a.m.–10 p.m.)
  • Fort Worth Central Station Ticket Kiosk: normal service hours (6 a.m.– 6 p.m.)

 

How Trinity Metro Service May Change During Inclement Weather 

Depending on conditions, you may see: 

  • Delays due to reduced speeds and safety checks 
  • Detours/stop closures if roads are icy, flooded, or blocked 
  • Reduced frequency (longer wait times) 
  • Early end of service or temporary suspensions in severe conditions 
  • Station/platform impacts (snow/ice treatment, access changes)

Weather Preparedness: What We’re Doing 

Ahead of and during severe weather, Trinity Metro: 

  • Coordinates closely with regional partners and public safety agencies 
  • Adjusts operations to match road/rail conditions 
  • Prioritizes the safety of our customers and team members while giving consideration for safe movement, communication, and recovery to normal service 
  • Provides frequent public updates as conditions evolve 

 When Will Service Return to Normal? 

As conditions improve, we’ll post: 

  • recovery update with what services are returning first 
  • Expected timing for full restoration (when available)
  • Any remaining detours, delays, or stop impacts 

Tip: Keep Rider Alerts turned on so you don’t miss the “service restored” notice.

Route 1

Outbound – From Hemphill – L- Allen, R-Main, R-Morningside (Traffic Circle), L- Hemphill, Regular Route

Inbound – From Hemphill – R – Morningside, L- Main (Traffic Circle), L- Allen, R- Hemphill, Regular Route

Route 2

Outbound – From Calmont Ave. – L- Cherry Lane, L – Hwy 80, (Layover on Hwy 80 in front of Fiesta)

Inbound – From Fiesta, Cont’ East to Regular Route

If 7th Street Bridge Closed by Police (Between University and Summit Ave)

Outbound – From 7th Street, Left – Henderson, Right – Lancaster to Camp Bowie Regular Route

Inbound – From Camp Bowie, Right -Lancaster, and Left- Jones, then to Central Station

Route 4

Westbound – Heading to Baylor Scott & White

From 8th, R- Rosedale, L- 6th, L – Terrell, L – 8th, continue eastbound

Route 5 (Will not serve TCC South)

Outbound – From Campus Dr., Right on Raymond Barber Dr. (Resource Connection)

Right- Campus Dr, Right – 820 Service Rd (Make VA Clinic)

Inbound – From VA Clinic Resource regular Route to Campus Dr ,

Left – Raymond Barber Dr. (Resource Connection)

Route 46

Outbound – From Jacksboro Hwy (skip Old Mill Creek/Shady Oaks Manor/Quebec), Left – Northwest Centre Dr, Left-SH-199/Loop 820 Access Rd (in front of Lowes),

Left-Boat Club Rd, Right-Jacksboro Hwy to the Shell station

Inbound – From the Shell station on Jacksboro Hwy headed toward downtown follow regular route.

Orange Line

Outbound (Heading to NSTS) – From N Main St., Cont’ -N Main St (skip RR Bridge on 28th St), R-Long Ave, R-Decatur, to TEXRail Station

Inbound (Heading to FWCS) – From TEXRail Station, Left -Decatur (skip RR Bridge on 28th), Left-Long Ave, Left-N Main St, and then regular route to the FWCS

Note: NSTS = North Side TexRail Station & FWCS = Fort Worth Central Station

(ONLY If Main Street Bridges are closed by Police, otherwise regular route)

Inbound – From N Main, Right – Northside Dr. to University, (If 7th Street Open) Left – 7th, Right – Houston then regular route. (If 7th Street is closed by the police) Left- Lancaster,

Left- Jones, and then the regular route to Central Station.

Outbound – From Commerce, Left – 6th, (6th street open) Right- University to North Side Dr., Left- N Main then regular route. (If 7th Street is closed by the police) Left – Henderson, Right – Lancaster, Right-University to North Side Dr., Left- N Main then Regular Route.

If the 7th Street Bridge is closed by the Police (Between University and Summit Ave) use Route 2 Lancaster Detour.

Route 21

Please Note That If It is Determined That Boca Raton and John T White Is Dangerous for Travel, The Route 21 Could Be Terminated for That Day. Note: Route 22 will ONLY be in operation if the Route 21 is terminated.
