(FORT WORTH, TX – Nov. 21, 2022) – Trinity Metro is excited to announce that ZIPZONE will be operating on weekends in all zones between Thanksgiving and Christmas (Nov. 26-Dec. 18). The expanded hours are designed to provide riders with affordable, flexible travel during the holiday season to get where they need to go — whether that be for gift shopping, seeing friends and family, heading to a party car-free, or taking on extra shifts at work.
Mercantile, South Tarrant and Southeast ZIPZONEs will operate the same schedule on weekends as they use on weekdays. Alliance and Southside already operate during weekends, so those schedules will remain unchanged.
ZIPZONE saw the highest ridership of all time in October with more than 9,000 rides, which follows expanded service coverage in the Southeast and Southside ZIPZONEs.
