The Trinity Metro ZIPZONE program is the agency’s “first mile/last mile” solution for users of public transportation. Riders can travel their “first mile” and their “last mile” from the nearest bus stop via on-demand rideshare service.

Using the Alliance ZIPZONE

  • Make sure you have the Lyft mobile app downloaded on your smartphone.
  • Ride the bus as you normally would and keep track of your paper pass, ID badge and/or your fare activated in the GoPass app.
  • Connecting routes in the Alliance ZIPZONE are bus routes 16 and 63/64.
  • When you get off at your stop within the Alliance ZIPZONE boundaries, use the Lyft app for your ride to your employer.
  • Use Promotional code “ALLIANCEZONE“.
  • Then look for your Lyft driver and ZIP to work.

Weekdays: 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Weekends: 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.


Using the Mercantile ZIPZONE

  • Download the ZIPZONE app from the app store on your smartphone. Simply head to the Payment Methods page in the app menu, add your payment information to get on the road!
  • Ride the bus or Trinity Metro TEXRail to your preferred stop or station within the Mercantile ZIPZONE boundaries.
  • Connecting routes in the Mercantile ZIPZONE are bus routes 11, 12, 16 and Trinity Metro TEXRail.
  • When you arrive at your stop, use the ZIPZONE app to order a ride to your employer.
  • The Mercantile ZIPZONE service is $1 or $3 per passenger, depending on location.
  • Wait for the ZIPZONE van and then you’re ready to ZIP to work.

For riders who do not show up OR cancel after requesting a ride via the app, an automatic charge of 50 percent will be assessed.
