Earlier this week, Trinity Metro TEXRail suspended service to perform scheduled maintenance on the tracks of the commuter rail line traveling between downtown Fort Worth and DFW International Airport.
Customers who live or work around the stations or tracks may have noticed increased activity as preventive rail grinding was completed. Rail grinding is a maintenance strategy aimed at reducing rail wear while improving the stability and function of the trains. Trinity Metro TEXRail employees completed the scheduled maintenance on time, and regular TEXRail service resumed as planned on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023.
Trinity Metro is committed to maintaining an outstanding and safe customer experience and appreciates our customers’ patience during this vital process. Except for scheduled maintenance, Trinity Metro TEXRail operates seven days a week, year-round.
