Thanks for visiting. Please check back next week to view the proposed map and see how your route might change. We need you to tell us how we can make A Better Connection.
YOUR BUS SYSTEM IS CHANGING THIS FALL
GIVE FEEDBACK ON THE DRAFT PLAN
You spoke. We listened. Here is the Draft Plan.
By incorporating the changes that riders showed preference for in the Goals and Alternatives outreach efforts, the Draft Plan provides some more regular service across the system, straighter routes, and added service to new areas.

SYSTEM REDESIGN
KEY CHANGES
The Draft Plan negotiates the balance between bus frequency and walking distance for passengers. In addition to routes 001, 002, 015, and 089, routes 004 and 006 are upgraded to high-frequency and come every 15 minutes.
High-Frequency 006
Route 006 currently heads south from Downtown and then to Hulen Mall Transfer Center. It runs every 30 minutes. The new 006 extends south further into areas not currently served by the network. In the Draft Plan, the high-frequency 006 runs every 15 minutes, serving a dense area of Fort Worth.
The Draft Plan prioritizes crosstown routes in addition to routes that go to Downtown. By connecting routes together from different parts of Fort Worth, travelers will be able to travel to various parts of the city without having to transfer Downtown.
High-Frequency 004
Route 004 currently goes from Downtown, through the Medical District, and then heads east on Rosedale It runs every 30 minutes. In order to afford increased frequency, the new 004 starts and ends in the Medical District now rather than duplicating route 006 into Downtown. In the Draft Plan, the high-frequency 004 runs every 15 minutes.
In the Draft Plan, all routes of the same frequency type will have the same
running schedules. There will be no “A” or “B” routes and routes will
always run in the same direction and pattern.

Combining the 003/014 into the 054 shows one example where we are proposing more north-south crosstown routes. Rather than these two routes both going to Downtown, they are connected to provide access from North Side Station to TCC South Campus.
Combining the 007/010 into the 053 creates an additional north-south route. Rather than these two routes both going to Downtown, they are connected to each other and a portion of the current 090, creating a direct connection to Hulen Mall.

By using this tool, you can compare the different options. In the survey below, we will ask you about specific changes as well as your thoughts on the alternatives as a whole. As mentioned previously, these options are not each individual proposals. They enable us to get your feedback on different ideas, and the draft plan will be designed based on the input we receive.
The trip planning tool is in a prelaunch mode, which gives you a sneak peek at future trip planning. This tool was developed by using the upcoming system changes that go into effect in AUGUST 2021.
