Trinity Metro has partnered with Tarrant County College (TCC) to make it easier for students, families and friends to attend commencement ceremonies this week. Anyone attending the ceremonies downtown has the option of parking in the Trinity River Campus garage and then riding Trinity Metro’s Route 46 to the Fort Worth Convention Center. Parking in the garage is free and TCC will have bus tickets on hand for riders. TCC is funding the cost of tickets through its EASYRIDE agreement with Trinity Metro.
“We are happy to run extra buses to accommodate people trying to travel to the TCC ceremonies,” said Wayne Gensler, chief operations officer at Trinity Metro. “Downtown parking can be challenging, and we are helping to solve that issue for graduating students and attendees who are celebrating this important milestone.”
Background
Five years ago, Trinity Metro and TCC signed an EASYRIDE agreement that allows students to ride all of Trinity Metro’s services for free. Students use their ID cards and TCC covers the cost, which is a discounted rate of 25% off because of the agreement. Trinity Metro provides options to all TCC campuses and students benefit with unlimited rides to school – plus grocery stores, medical appointments, entertainment options and any other transit needs.
